About Us

The Elias family textile business was founded in 1952 by Ernest’s father, George Elias, in Manchester, England. In 1984, Ernest and his brother, Stephen, expanded into polyester staple fiber, initially marketing product from Taiwan to the UK and Ireland.

In 1991 after identifying sales opportunities in the US, Fibertex was incorporated and Ernest began to develop US sales of polyester staple fiber. Since then he has steered the business through a sustained period of steady growth, developing a wide range of strong customer and supplier relationships.

Closely following the principles established in the family business by Ernest’s father, Fibertex today prides itself on customer service and a high level of integrity in all its business activities.
